The firm exists because this kind of work — senior, narrow, defensible — is harder to find than it should be, and the operators who need it deserve a place built for it.
03.1Why now
Two shifts converge. Regulatory environments in defence, aerospace, rail, transit, and maritime are growing more complex; operators are being asked to demonstrate management-system maturity in ways the previous generation of advisors did not contemplate. At the same time, AI has matured to the point where the slow, archival work of regulatory mapping and evidence reconciliation can be compressed without losing rigor.
Kanon is built around both: senior judgment, applied at speed.
03.2How we grow
The firm is small by design. We grow only when a partner of the right calibre joins, and only into work we can do at the standard we set. Selectivity is the discipline.
